OK, with Round 7 of layoffs coming up at work, I need to start getting rid of my giant piles of 240 parts in the event I need to move quickly.
The package Bundle:
For sale! 1989 Nissan 240SX
The offer: This car isn't pretty, isn't perfect, will never win a car show, and isn't even particularly comfortable. However, this is one of the cheapest ways of getting involved in Motorsports. I'll even throw in an SCCA membership with the deal. In my 7 years of ownership, this car has driven to Autocrosses, Rallycrosses, and Drift Days hundreds of miles away, put up with my abuse, and driven me home again without a single hiccup. As it sits, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere, or compete in anything. While I am open to negotiations on price, I am well aware of it's defects, and I have priced it accordingly. Approximate part prices are listed in parenthesis to illustrate that I'm not off base with my pricing. If it doesn't sell, I will make a new thread and part it, so don't bother asking now.
I'd just like to get it to someone who will enjoy it as much as I do.

The Good:
-This car runs great, and is a blast to drive at autocrosses(top ten overall at the local level), tons of fun at rallycrosses (PR National Champion 2007), and a great learning platform for Drifting.
-Comes with a myriad of spare parts including all the wheels and tires listed above, 2 spare 5-speed transmissions, Stock Suspension with KYB GR-2 shocks, Skidplate, extra lines, hoses, injectors, bolts, belts, distributors, etc.
-Is a great platform to learn driving techniques and get into Motorsports. After 7 years, my abilities still haven't caught up to the car.
The Bad:
-The car was involved in a low speed impact with the RF of the car clipping a concrete barrier at a Drift Day. The frame rail and suspension components were not touched, but the headlight, bumper, fender, radiator support, and bumper support all sustained damage. The damage was straightned by hand, the headlight was replaced with a Hella FF1000 Driving beam, and the turn signal replaced with a trailer light. The car competed later at that event, and I've driven it alot since then, both on the street and at the track.
-The car has rust in the usual 240 places, but this has never been a structural issue.
-The synchros are out on the current transmission's 2nd gear. This is why 2 spare KA 5-speed transmissions are included in the sale.
The Ugly:
-The car is dirty, inside and out. Everything is functional, but if you like clean cars, this one will never live up to your expectations without major work.
-Windshield is carrying quite a few battlescars from Marshaling 5 years of 100 Acre Wood stage rallies. It functions fine and always passed tech, but you'd likely need to replace at some point.
-One of the brakes lightly drags when cold and squeels, I was going to clean and lube the sliders the next time I bought pads, but have been too lazy so far.
Pictures
I don't have many pictures of it's current post-accident state, but I will try to get more at/after the autocross on Sunday.
The only one's I can find are from the 7/3 Rallycross in Newton...
you can get a slight glimse of the other side here
Price
$1100 OBO
I've tried to justify my price through the parts list, but if you can convince me otherwise, we might be able to deal. (Hint: "I'll give you $500" won't convince me ) The car can also be configured in a number of different ways to lower the price.
I'm not accepting any trades, and I am not parting it out as of now, so please don't ask, or call "dibs".
Location
Car is located in the Central Wichita area.
I'm willing to drive within the city limits to show/deliver it. The car is also available for viewing/test drives at most Wichita Region SCCA events.
